The Orlando Express Girls’ Hockey Program is 100% funded by families, fundraising and donations from people like you.
Orlando Express is an all-girls ice hockey club that was established in January 2017. Our mission is to provide an atmosphere for young women to participate in a positive environment while playing ice hockey. By offering an all girls' team, we have created an opportunity for the girls to become unified in the locker room and play bigger roles on the ice.
Prior to our program, one or two girls played on boys' teams and changed in their own locker rooms or the girls' bathroom. This aspect created a challenging dynamic for the girls to feel like part of the team. Due to these challenges, we have had trouble retaining our female hockey players in the Orlando area.
Our goal is to not only help them learn the game of hockey, but to provide a positive team atmosphere and help build their self-confidence through our training. Ice hockey is a game of hard work, team work, discipline, and passion. We feel that these traits can be translated into other aspects of their lives. From academics to professional careers, we are teaching these girls what it takes to be successful in the world today.
